Helping in Class

Helping in class can be a very rewarding experience, and is another way to get involved in school life.
If you are able to spare a regular time each week, or perhaps offer to support on a school trip, please speak to your child's class teacher.

What would I be asked to do?
You might be asked to listen to children read, to assist in art activities, or other activities in class. On a trip, you might be asked to be with a group of children. This would all be under the supervision of the teacher.

How much time would I need to do this?
Class teachers are grateful of any support - if you can spare an hour or two each week, it would be greatly appreciated.

Do I need to have any safeguarding checks?
Yes - before starting to help, we would ask you to come into the school office to complete a DBS check.
